How long does the battery last?
Depending on usage, the single CR1632 battery will last up to 40,000 hours.
Can I still use it without power?
Yes! Without power, the sight is simply a standard iron sight. You can aim it by lining up the front and rear posts exactly the same way you would an iron sight.
Is it compatible with my firearm?
TrueAim Sights are currently only compatible with Glocks, but soon we will be releasing an RMR mounted version to provide flexibility with 1911's and other optics mounting platforms.
How durable is TrueAim?
TrueAim is built for field use and more durable than Red Dot sights because we don't have a large piece of glass (lens) that can easily be compromised. TrueAim Sights are machined from rugged materials and engineered to resist recoil, vibration, and everyday wear and tear. It’s weather‑resistant and shock‑tested to hold zero under rigorous operating conditions.
What makes Shake-Awake different?
On instantly when you need it, and off when you don't. TrueAim uses a unique, intelligent motion/sensor system that wakes ONLY when you intentionally wake it. When holstered, even while walking around, it remains in sleep mode with the LED off to conserve power. The result - long battery life with instant-on performance and fewer false activations.
Is installation difficult?
No! After the slide has been cut for the TrueAim components, assembly takes just a couple minutes. And our complete upper slide kits are plug-and-play.
